The all new 2026 Lexus ES is receiving high praise for its radical transformation, successfully evolving from a conservative staple into a futuristic flagship. 

Here are the most impressive highlights of the new model: 

1. A New Era of Performance
For the first time in its history, the ES is offering BEV all-electric powertrains.    

• The ES 350e is the first-ever battery-electric ES, delivering a manufacturer-estimated range of 300 miles.
  
• The ES 500e introduces the high-performance DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive system, which can shift torque between the front and rear wheels instantly for incredible stability and a 0–60 mph time of approximately 5.4 seconds.
• The ES 350h continues the hybrid legacy with a sixth-generation system that is smoother, more responsive, and now available with an all-wheel drive

2. A “First Class” Rear Cabin
Lexus has significantly increased the car’s dimensions (it’s roughly 6.5 inches longer than before), allowing for a much roomier interior. The new Executive Package turns the back seat into a sanctuary with:    

• Reclining rear seats and a passenger-side ottoman. 

• Built-in massaging functions and dedicated climate controls.    

• Industry-first 3D-printed bamboo layering that adds a sophisticated, natural texture to the doors and dash.

3. Cutting-EdgeTech & Safety
The interior has been completely decluttered, replaced by a massive 14-inch touchscreen running the latest Lexus Interface. It also debuts Lexus Safety System+ 4.0, which features enhanced detection capabilities and more intuitive driver assistance hardware.    

Lexus lowered the window lines and raised the seating position slightly, giving the cabin a much airier feel with superior visibility compared to the outgoing model.

4. Stunning Design Evolution
The design is a major leap forward, taking inspiration from the LF-ZC concept car. It trades the old “pudgy” look for a sleek, trunkless silhouette and striking Twin L-Signature Lamps that make it look more like the flagship LS sedan than ever before.
