What can an RZ charge cost?

At SCE’s currently published 26¢/kWh summer off-peak TOU-D-PRIME rate, a theoretical 0–100% refill of a 74.69-kWh RZ battery works out to about $21.58 in energy using a 90% charging-efficiency planning assumption. A 10–80% session works out to about $15.10 under the same assumptions. These are planning estimates—not a utility-bill quote—and exclude the $0.79/day base service charge, taxes, fees and any different generation-provider rates.

How much does it cost to charge a Lexus RZ in Torrance?

It depends on the RZ model, how much battery you add, your electricity rate and charging losses. Using the published summer SCE TOU-D-PRIME off-peak rate of $0.26 per kWh and a 90% planning efficiency assumption, an RZ with a 74.69-kWh battery would use about $21.58 of energy for a theoretical 0% to 100% charge. The same energy added during the $0.59 per kWh summer weekday on-peak window would cost substantially more. Fixed charges, taxes and other bill components are not included.

What electricity rate should I use in the calculator?

Use the rate that actually applies to the energy used for charging on your utility bill. SCE TOU-D-PRIME presets are included as a local reference, but customers with a Community Choice Aggregator or other generation provider may have different generation charges.

How fast can a 2026 Lexus RZ DC fast charge?

Lexus states that under ideal conditions the 2026 RZ can charge from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes using DC fast charging. Charging time varies with temperature, charger capability, battery state and other conditions.

Does the 2026 Lexus RZ use NACS?

Yes. The 2026 RZ uses the SAE J3400 North American Charging System charge port and also has an 11-kW onboard AC charger.

Is home charging always cheaper than public fast charging?
